SINCE 1937 THERE HAS BEEN A SOUTHFORK LODGE.

Your historic Idaho adventure starts here.  Located in a geothermally active region along the Highway 21 Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway along the rolling waters of the South fork of the Payette River.  Bordered by the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway off the Banks-Lowman Hwy 2512A at that junction you will find the Southfork Lodge.

Year-round activities for the outdoor enthusiast or those seeking just a bit of respite with some rustic comfort gather here.

Restaurant

Dine in the historic Southfork Lodge seated in log chairs at wooden tables.  Gaze upwards at the antler shed lighting. You are surrounded by praise-worthy mounts and distinct artistry. The bay-style windows allow for year-round views of majestic mountains, the river, falling snow, and occasional wildlife sightings.  Seating is limited but worth the wait.

Elk is our mascot and our Elk burger a dining favorite. Our Angus burgers are certified and pair perfectly with our rustic fries. If breakfast is your thing you must indulge in our Huckleberry bake topped with our sweet brown butter.  Order up a spicey favorite of Elk jalapeno sausage to go with our chili Relleno bake.  This isn’t fast food it’s an experience in locally sourced and taste-tested recipes.   Our menu and dining are seasonal but our wild game specials and house-made desserts keep you coming back to the Southfork year-round.

Patio Bar

The outdoor patio is set on the rivers edge below our whispering pines.  Relax with a beverage, our specialty desserts or shakes.  Reset with nature as you take in the views.

Coffee-n-Creamery

Our coffee is a unique blend roasted specifically for us by Caffeina Roasting.  Some say it is mildly intoxicating.  Served year-round it pairs beautifully with our creamy desserts.  From giant cinnamon rolls to decadent brownies with a fudge frosting and creamy thick cheesecake all scratch-made and fresh-baked.  If you are wanting something cold and almost as creamy as our desserts try our handmade thick malt shakes.  It’s hard to choose a favorite when Huckleberry and our #SFL espresso tease your taste buds.  While you choose your eyes can’t miss all the antique and vintage coffee grinders/makers.  Everywhere you look around the Lodge you’ll find bits of history and tributes to all who have and do serve.

Contact us at the Southfork Lodge directly for all of your dining, Idaho vacation or group event planning needs. We look forward to hearing from you! Phone calls are great for getting in touch quickly, but we also have WiFi, so email works too.
